EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES

Soko was born between Africa and America with the aim of offering handmade, ethical goods at accessible prices. Soko employs technology to empower and provide equal access to opportunity for marginalised artisans in Kenya.

Soko collections are inspired by architecture and traditional tribal designs, creating a strong yet minimal aesthetic.

Their jewellery is mainly made of solid brass, a metal alloy of copper and zinc. Today almost 90% of all brass in the world is recycled. Cow horn is also used in their collections. Soko artisans ethically procure this recycled material from nomadic tribes in Kenya and Uganda. Cow horn is a by-product of the food industry.

Soko has recently became a B Corp. This is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance.
