All brands we work with integrate sustainability values into their business practice. This means they are implementing strategies to lower their impact on the environment, are transparent about their supply chain and seek fair terms of trade. To easily identify the values each brand is championing, we have created a labelling system. Below you can find more details about each category.


Environmental focus

L O W E R  I M P A C T  R A W  M A T E R I A L S: Responsibly sourced raw materials that have a smaller impact on the environment.

R E C Y C L E D  M A T E R I A L S: The main components of the piece have been recycled/re-purposed from another item, resulting in waste reduction.

B Y  P A S S   M A T E R I A L S: The main components of the piece are the by-product of another industry’s which would ordinarily be classed as waste.

B I O D E G R A D A B L E: Made of biodegradable materials; substances that decay naturally and in a way that is not harmful to the environment.

R E D U C E D  C A R B O F O O T P R I N T:  Brands have a commitment to reduce their emissions. Emissions have been reduced and/or offset through CO2 offset schemes. 

C H E M I C A L  F R E E: Made without the use of hazardous chemicals which could be harmful to people and the environment.

E N E R G Y  C O N C I O U S: Brands have a commitment to energy efficiency. They actively seek how to minimise energy consumption and energy comes from renewable sources. 


Social focus

S O C I A L  D E V E L O P M E N T: Through its activity the brand promotes the social wellbeing of a community and creates opportunities for people.

A N D M A D E: The item has been handmade by a skilled craftsman using only simple tools as opposed to being mass-produced in large factories.

E G A N  FI E N D L Y: No animal products used; this includes animal skins and by-products such as silk.

A I R M I N E D: This item has an assurance label that certifies that the gold and silver used in the jewel come responsible artisanal and small-scale mining organizations who meet world leading standards for responsible practices.

C E R T I F I E D: Brands’ activity has been screened by third parties and awarded and accreditation. Examples include 100% Recycled Material, Rapaport Ethical Certification, Fair-Mined, amongst others.


Economical focus

A I R T R A D E: The piece or the raw material used to make the piece are Fairtrade certified. The fair trade movement advocates the payment of higher prices to exporters and improved social and environmental standards.

B Corp: The brand producing the item is a B Corp. Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
